LPP’S Privacy Policy of the Site

This Website Privacy Policy (this “Privacy Policy”) governs your access and use of the website located at (the “Site”). Last Price Paid Inc. (“LPP”) owns and operates the services located at the Site.


1.      Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and continuing to use the Site, and by providing certain Personal Information (as hereinafter defined) to LPP through the Site, you are indicating your acceptance to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, please do not access or use the Site, or provide Personal Information through the Site.

2.      Modifications and Notices

LPP may revise this Privacy Policy, at any time, by updating this posting. LPP may provide notice to its users of such revisions by means of a general notice on the Site. Continued use of the Site after such revisions are posted will signify your agreement to these revised terms. Therefore, you should visit this page periodically to review this Privacy Policy.


3.       LPP Respects Your Privacy


LPP is determined to protect the privacy of all of the Site’s users and to maintain the integrity of all information identifying a person (“Personal Information”) that it gets, uses, holds or discloses through the Site. The purpose of the present Privacy Policy is to inform you of why and how LPP obtains Personal Information on the Site, to inform you of the ways that LPP takes to protect Personal Information and to provide you with a contact number at LPP in the event that you have any questions or concerns about LPP’s privacy practices.


LPP respects your privacy. That is why LPP has developed comprehensive procedures and practices relating to the management of Personal Information.

4.       General Information
The present Privacy Policy describes the Personal Information that LPP may collect from the Site’s users as part of its normal supply of services and also describes the use that can be done of that Personal Information.

LPP’s primary goal in collecting Personal Information about you is to make sure that your experience on the Site happens in a safe, quiet, efficient and personalized matter. Thus, LPP can deliver the services and features that best fit your needs and customize its services to make your experience safer and friendlier. LPP only collects the Personal Information that it deems necessary to achieve this goal.

In general, you can browse the Site without having to disclose your identity or Personal Information. Once you submit your Personal Information, you are no longer an anonymous person to LPP. If you choose to use the Site, LPP may ask you to provide it with your identity, your contact information, financial information and information on billing, or other Personal Information required on the Site. To the extent possible, LPP specifies required and optional fields. You always have the choice not to provide information by failing to use certain services or features of the Site.

In addition, if you send LPP personal correspondence via email or by mail, or if other users or third parties send LPP correspondence about your activities or ads on the Site, LPP may keep the information on a file in your name.

LPP’s Internet servers can get information, in a passive and automatic way, on the browsing habits of the Site’s users, which can be linked to their Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses (which are unique Internet addresses assigned to all Internet users by their Internet service providers). The server’s databases may record statistical information such as the users’ IP addresses, the type of operating system used, the time and duration of visits and pages requested, etc. They can also identify categories of users based on the domain name or the type of browser. Such statistical information is usually collected and used by LPP in a way that does not identify users of the Site.

The Site may use cookies. Cookies are small text files placed at the occasion of a consultation by the Site’s server on the hard drive of the Site’s users to memorize information attached to the browser used by the latter when it browses a website. Cookies can be stored on your hard drive or on a temporary file in which case they are erased when you turn off your computer browser. LPP may use these cookies to get information about your habits and past browsing activities in order to help LPP provide you with enhanced services. They are provided as a reference and may have privacy practices and policies that are different from those of LPP.  LPP has no responsibility over the websites of those persons and you are encouraged to review the privacy policies of all such third parties if you choose to visit their website.

Why LPP collects Personal Information?

LPP collects Personal Information only for the following reasons:

          to identify individuals;

          to announce, develop, improve and provide products and services to users of the Site;

          to facilitate access to services for users of the Site;

         to measure and improve the effectiveness of LPP’s products and services as well as its marketing tools;

         to manage and expand LPP’s operations, including the management of it sales or of some of LPP’s business;

          to settle disputes;

          to charge the Site’s users’ accounts;

          to help promote safe trade;

          to inform the Site’s users of offers, products, services and online or offline updates;

          to personalize the experience of the Site’s users;

          to protect the Site’s users against errors, fraud and criminal activities;

         to serve any other purpose for which users of the Site have given their consent, or for any other purpose otherwise required or permitted by law or which are described to the Site’s users at the time of collection, use or disclosure of information.

LPP uses the Personal Information kept on a file that it creates on you, as well as other information LPP obtains from your past and current activities on the Site.

If you choose to share or consult information on the Site, or if you give LPP for any reason whatsoever your financial information, LPP will use your address and your financial information to bill or pay you and/or provide you with appropriate support.

You also agree that LPP may use your Personal Information to communicate with you and provide you with information that, in some cases, matches your interests, such as targeted banner ads, administrative advice, product offers and communications that are useful to your use of the Site. If you do not wish to receive such communications, LPP wishes to be advised accordingly. You can change your notification preferences at any time.

Does LPP disclose your Personal Information?

LPP will not disclose Personal Information for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the express consent of the Site’s user or as required by law or by a competent authority.

There are a variety of circumstances in which LPP may be required to disclose Personal Information to third parties. For example, LPP may disclose Personal Information to third parties hired to perform functions on LPP’s behalf or to a public authority or an agent of a public authority if, upon reasonable notice by LPP, it appears that there is an imminent threat to the life or to private property that could be avoided or minimized by the disclosure of that information.


In situations where LPP discloses Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy, LPP discloses only the information that is required and, if it is reasonable and practical to do so, LPP signs a confidentiality agreement with third parties to whom LPP discloses the Personal Information.


It is also possible that LPP retains the services of third parties which it considers as service providers to facilitate or outsource one or more aspects of the business and operations relating to the products and services provided to you, especially for aspects related to web hosting, programming and payment. LPP can send some of your Personal Information directly to these providers. These service providers are subject to a duty of confidentiality towards LPP and to all the legal provisions that prevent them from using your Personal Information for any purpose other than to facilitate or carry out the mandate given by LPP, unless LPP has your express consent or your permission to use additional information. In some cases, the service provider may collect information from you directly. If so, LPP will inform you of the involvement of the service provider, and you will be responsible for any additional information you provide, as well as additional uses for them. If you provide additional information directly to a service provider, its use of your information is governed by that service provider’s own privacy policies.


Because of the rules and regulations in place, LPP cannot assure you that all of your Personal Information will never be disclosed in a manner that is not described in the present Privacy Policy. For example, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, it is possible that LPP may be forced to disclose, in some cases, Personal Information to the government or to third parties. Some third parties may also unlawfully intercept transmissions or private communications, or access thereto; or users can make abusive or malicious misuse of the Personal Information they collect on the Site. Therefore, although LPP uses practices conform to industry standards to protect your privacy, LPP cannot guarantee you that your Personal Information or your private communications will always remain private, and you should not expect them to remain private.


7.       How LPP protects your Personal Information?


LPP uses various means to protect your Personal Information. Only authorized employees and agents have access to Personal Information. LPP employees who have access to Personal Information receive training on how to protect your privacy. All computers on which is stored Personal Information are protected by passwords. LPP also uses data encryption for increased security of the Personal Information that you provide through the Site.


8.       Managing your Password


You are responsible for any actions taken using your user name and password, including fees charged to your account. LPP recommends that you never reveal your LPP password to any third party. If you choose to share your user name and password or your Personal Information with third parties, you will be liable for any actions taken through your account and you therefore have an interest in reading the privacy policy of this third party beforehand. If you disclose your password, you may lose considerable control over your Personal Information and you may take the risk that legally binding actions be taken on your behalf. Thus, if the security of your password has been compromised, for whatever reason, you should immediately change it.


9.       Your Consent / Audits and Amendment of Personal Information


You can withdraw your consent to LPP’s management of your Personal Information in a particular manner, subject to legal and contractual restrictions, upon reasonable notice. However, it will reduce LPP’s ability to provide you with certain products and services. You can contact LPP for more information on the implications of withdrawing your consent.


You can also access and review your Personal Information held by LPP and make any necessary changes by contacting LPP at the coordinates indicated in Article 11 above (BELOW?). It may be asked that you to make your request in writing and attach a proof of your identity. The reason why LPP asks for identification documents is to ensure, among other things, that LPP does not disclose unintentionally your Personal Information to a third party claiming to be you.

12.   Severability

Should any provision of the Privacy Policy be contrary to the law, void or unenforceable for any reason whatsoever, that provision shall be deemed severable from the Privacy Policy and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of other provisions.


13.   Applicable Law and Jurisdiction


The Privacy Policy and its interpretation are subject to the laws that are in force in the province of Quebec and in Canada, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of laws. The courts of the District of Montreal, in the Province of Quebec, have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute related to the present Privacy Policy, including its interpretation and its effects.
